Just like talk therapy, meditation, or even yoga, Embodied Integration requires practice and repetition. Though this varies from person to person, multiple sessions allow us to flex our attentive presence ‘muscles’ more and more efficiently. However, there are still many benefits gained from a single session.
Intake Sessions are 75 minutes long, and follow-up sessions are 60 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions about Embodied Integration
-
Embodied Integration is a holistic, gentle, somatic approach that combines nervous system regulation, somatic embodiment techniques, therapeutic yoga, mindful awareness, and more. It calls on your body, heart, and spirit's innate wisdom. Together, we will work to release held patterns, trauma, and old beliefs to (re)connect with your Self and the world around you. We’ll use bite-size pieces to gradually build your ability for attentive presence with whatever arises. This is the true meaning of Mindfulness.
Embodied Integration is about somatically bringing all our pieces together and remembering all parts of our Self - body, spirit, emotions, and mind. In traditional therapy, you might explore and analyze your stories. Here, you will learn to become aware of how you feel, where that story lives in your body, and how you relate to your emotions.
Each session is tailored to your individual needs and readiness. Sometimes you’re ready for a deep dive. Other times, it's best to approach challenging emotions softly, like a leaf floating on a lake. You’ll learn to welcome your sensations, emotions, thoughts, feelings, and Self (back) into your experience.
With guidance and practice, you’ll gain skills to relate to your feelings, sensations, and emotions through the vehicle of the body. Techniques taught will become tools that provide a release valve or safety net for when overwhelming emotions or experiences arise in day-to-day life. This is what Self Care truly means: to be present and to support ourselves.
-
During a session, you can expect to connect to your sensations and emotions without becoming overwhelmed. We’ll begin with a grounding exercise to regulate the nervous system. You can then share your present experience so we can decide on a theme to work with. Each session is unique and will include some form of breathwork, meditation, and movement exploration. We’ll close the session with another tool to regulate the nervous system. Homework, such as a writing prompt, somatic explorations or movements, or breathwork, may be suggested.
